Yamaha 425HP DEC | XF425USB2

At 977 lbs, the Yamaha XF425USB2 is the heaviest of the 425 hp XTO Offshore configurations covered here, finished with a white cowling over an eight-cylinder, 5,559cc four-stroke powerhead. A 25-inch shaft and Yamaha's DEC digital control system carry over from the rest of the XTO range. What sets this unit apart Rotation on the XF425USB2 runs in the standard direction rather than the counter-rotation gearcase offered on some XTO siblings, which matters when matching it to a single-engine transom or an existing prop. Integrated electric steering replaces a separate hydraulic helm pump, and a digital throttle, electric start and safety lanyard round out the controls on this build. The white cowling also distinguishes it visually from the counter-rotation version of this same 425 hp platform. Before you order Freshwater flushing is built into the XF425USB2 through a dual flush port, so the cooling system can be rinsed dockside without pulling hoses. Direct injection, iridium spark plugs and quad thermostats carry over from the rest of the line, and full throttle holds between 5000 and 6000 rpm. Confirm standard rotation suits your rigging before ordering, since swapping it afterward is not practical, and plan your rigging weight around the 977 lbs this particular configuration carries. Common questions Is a propeller included? No, order the prop separately to match the USB2's gear ratio and your application. How long is the coverage period? Yamaha provides 5 years of warranty on the USB2.
