Yamaha 2018 Yamaha F250 V6 4.2L Digital 25 F250XCA Outboard Motor

Trim code F250XCA lets a buyer step up to more displacement on consoles, runabouts, pontoons and walkarounds without changing existing rigging. Displacement runs 4169cc, the shaft measures 25 inches, and the whole digitally controlled package comes in around 562 lbs dry. Controls and steering A digital-ready helm is needed for this build rather than cable steering, so check your console wiring before ordering; retrofitting a boat for digital control after the fact typically costs more than buying the mechanical version instead. Trim runs between -3 and +16 degrees on this trim. Power and feed Electronically controlled throttle valves pair with precision multi-point injection to keep the air-fuel mix tight, and the engine control module continually reads atmospheric and running conditions to fine-tune the mix on the move. A composite lower engine pan trims weight while adding corrosion resistance, and the alternator here is rated up to 70 amps. Boats upgrading from a smaller inline engine onto this V6 typically need the transom reinforced to handle the added weight, so have a rigger look at the hull before you commit to this swap and budget for a matched propeller as well. Expect three years of coverage for pleasure or government use on this model, dropping to one year once the motor sees commercial service. Confirm propeller and rigging compatibility with us before ordering, and mention whether your existing gauges already speak Yamaha's digital protocol.
