About this product

Yamaha's 2017 F350 Offshore XCC pairs a 60-degree V8 block with a 25-inch shaft, aimed at large offshore boats that need deep reserve power rather than just a top-end number. At 350 hp and 5330 cc, double overhead camshafts spread torque across a wide band instead of stacking it near redline. Fit and mounting Line up transom height with the 25-inch shaft before ordering, and check the 28.6-inch mounting centers against existing rigging. This XCC trim is the counter-rotation "LF" version, so pair it correctly if a second engine runs alongside it. Steering turns a maximum of 32 degrees from center in either direction, trim adjusts from -3 to +16 degrees, and tilt tops out at 67 degrees. Running it A TCI microcomputer with coil-in-cap ignition handles spark timing, and Yamaha calls for an LFR6A spark plug, regular unleaded at a minimum 89 pump octane, and Yamalube 4M oil in the wet sump. Dual exhaust vents through Power Surge Chambers to manage backpressure near the top of the rev range, and a single belt-drive system feeds the alternator rather than a gear-driven setup. The gearcase shifts forward, neutral and reverse on a 1.73:1 ratio, compression sits at 9.6:1, and a built-in freshwater flush device plus Yamaha's diagnostic system round out the convenience features. Does it need a special fuel filter? Yamaha calls for a 10-micron fuel and water separating filter mounted externally. What is the dry weight? 763 lbs with the 25-inch shaft, so plan transom support and rigging accordingly. How much current does the alternator supply? 50 amps total, with 40 amps available at 1000 rpm and 33 amps set aside for battery charging.
