About this product
At 115 lbs dry, the LMHA is the lightest of the three 2017 long-shaft F20 trims covered in this group; it carries the identical 20 hp, 362cc, two-cylinder SOHC powerhead and 20-inch shaft used across the LEA and LEHA builds. What stays constant across this trim set Manual or electric starting, a single carburetor, CDI microcomputer ignition, a 2.08:1 gear ratio and 9.3:1 compression all carry over unchanged between the LEA, LEHA and LMHA builds; the weight figure is really the only thing that shifts between them. Gearing reduces at 2.08:1, compression is rated 9.3:1, the tilt bracket spans four stops between 67 and 71 degrees, and transom bolts space out 28.6 inches apart. The steering stop sits at 45 degrees off center in both directions on this engine too. Because the weight difference between these long-shaft trims is small, the deciding factor for most buyers ends up being whichever unit is on hand rather than any real difference in how the boat performs. Questions buyers ask What starting options are offered? Both manual and electric start are listed for this engine. What's the warranty? Pleasure and government coverage runs 3 years each on this engine, commercial coverage runs 1. What fuel does it take? Regular unleaded, 87 octane minimum. Does the LMHA need a different propeller than the LEA or LEHA? No, propeller choice follows the shaft and gear ratio, which are identical across these three trims.
