Yamaha 2017 Yamaha F15 LEHA Outboard Motor

A 362cc, two-cylinder SOHC engine rated at 15 hp drives this F15 LEHA; the shaft measures 20 inches, either manual or electric starting is offered, and dry weight comes to 122 lbs. Fuel delivery is a single carburetor paired with CDI microcomputer ignition. Fit and running numbers A 20-inch shaft calls for a taller transom than the short-shaft F15 trims Yamaha also sells, so measuring first matters more than comparing weight between trims. Underneath, compression holds at 9.3:1 while the gear case spins through a 2.08:1 reduction in forward, neutral and reverse; transom bolts sit 28.6 inches apart, steering swings a full 45 degrees off center each way, and the four-position tilt bracket covers 67 through 71 degrees. Carbureted portables like this one are sensitive to fuel that sits too long; running the tank low and adding fresh fuel each season, or using a stabilizer over winter storage, keeps the single carburetor from gumming up and avoids hard starting after a layoff.
