Suzuki 2018 Suzuki Marine 25 HP DF25AL EFI Outboard Motor

Stepping up to a 3-cylinder, 489 cc four-stroke, the DF25AL EFI is rated at 25 hp, starts electrically, and is available with either tiller or remote steering under this listing. Rigged for tiller control with power trim and tilt, it weighs 163 pounds. Before you order Choose tiller or remote steering when you place your order, since the control hardware differs between the two, and double-check that your transom suits the 20-inch height this engine is built around. Inside the engine Three cylinders bring this engine to a recommended 5000-6000 rpm, and the power trim and tilt system uses a gas-assist strut alongside several tilt pin positions, so adjusting running angle costs little effort. A 14-amp alternator on a 12-volt system keeps electronics charged, and a 3-blade, 9.25-inch propeller with a 10-inch pitch turns at the stern. Expect a 3.1-gallon tank, its line, a printed manual, propeller and tool kit in the crate, covered for three years by Suzuki. Which steering setup can I order with this engine? Either tiller or remote; specify your preference. Does the gas-assist strut mean trim adjusts itself? No, it still takes input from the controls, but the strut makes lifting and lowering the motor far less effort than a fully manual tilt mechanism. This is the larger of the two engine families in Suzuki's portable-to-mid-size lineup covered here, so expect a noticeably heavier, more substantial feel at the transom than the smaller single- and two-cylinder motors.
