Overview Mercury Avator 5hp Electric Outboard 20ELH The Mercury Avator 5hp Electric Outboard 20ELH combines scalable electric power with direct tiller control and a 20-inch long shaft, making it a perfect fit for boats with taller transoms. Engineered to deliver performance comparable to a traditional 5hp four-stroke outboard, the Avator 20ELH provides smooth acceleration, instant torque, and near-silent operation—without exhaust fumes or direct emissions. From relaxed cruising to precise maneuvering in tight spaces, this electric outboard adapts effortlessly to your day on the water. Features and Performance At its core is an industry-first transverse flux electric motor producing 2200 watts of prop-shaft output. This advanced motor design delivers immediate torque and efficient power transfer, driving a high-thrust three-blade propeller that helps maximize range and battery efficiency. The modular battery system offers flexibility: you can connect the tiller model directly to one 2300Wh battery (sold separately) for maximum simplicity and portability, or expand your setup with a Power Center to connect up to four batteries for extended runtime. With electric starting, manual trim and tilt, and intuitive tiller steering, operation is straightforward and responsive. Quiet performance and low vibration enhance comfort, especially in marinas, fishing areas, and environmentally sensitive waterways. Why You Should Buy it If you want long-shaft compatibility, hands-on tiller control, and the benefits of scalable electric propulsion, the Mercury Avator 20ELH is an excellent choice. It pairs advanced electric technology with the trusted engineering of Mercury Marine, delivering clean, quiet power for eco-conscious boaters and emission-restricted waters—without sacrificing performance.
