Mercury 225HP CXXL FourStroke Outboard DTS

Taller transoms are what the 30 inch shaft on this new Mercury 225HP CXXL FourStroke Outboard DTS is for; note that despite the DTS name, Mercury's own listing for this particular unit shows Remote Mech steering, so confirm the control type with us before ordering. Specifications 3.4 liters of displacement, a 5200-6000 rpm full-throttle range, and 475 lbs dry weight make up the core spec sheet. Power trim and tilt comes standard, with counter rotation offered as an option for a twin-engine boat. Fit and what's included At 30 inches this shaft is meant for a taller transom than the shorter options sold alongside it in the same lineup, so measure before ordering a motor this size. Three years of coverage come standard, and the carton ships with the printed manual, transom mounting hardware, and a tool kit tucked in; a propeller is priced on its own for your hull. Confirm the control type with us before ordering if your console is already wired for one system or the other. Buyers who already own the shorter CXL version of this engine and are adding a second unit on a different boat should still double-check the control type here rather than assuming it is the same, since the model name and this unit's listed steering do not line up the way they do on some other trims. What shaft length is this? 30 inches, the extra-extra-long option. Does it use a digital or mechanical throttle? Confirm this with us before ordering, since the listing shows a mechanical steering control despite the DTS name.
