About this product

A used JDM Mazda RX-7 13B-REW engine out of a third-generation (FD) RX-7, the twin-turbo rotary built for that chassis starting in late 1991, with a little over 55,000 km on it. What this engine is The 13B-REW is a two-rotor Wankel engine with sequential twin-turbocharging, where each rotor carries a 654cc combustion chamber for a combined 1308cc of displacement, or 1.3 liters. Factory output is rated around 255 horsepower and roughly 217 lb-ft of torque, with a 9.0:1 compression ratio and multi-port fuel injection, spinning up to a top end somewhere between 8,000 and 8,500 rpm, using one primary and one secondary turbo working in sequence rather than a parallel pair. What comes with the unit Rather than a bare long block, this pull keeps the wiring harness, intake and exhaust manifolds, and factory ECU and injectors attached to the head and block, and throws in the 5-speed manual transmission, starter, clutch, alternator, and A/C compressor on top. Whatever shows up in the listing's own photos is what ships with the unit, so treat those images as the final word on exact contents. Common questions Is this a new or used engine? Used, with a little over 55,000 km on it. Does it include the transmission? Yes, a 5-speed manual transmission is included. What's the maximum rpm? It spins up toward the 8,500 mark before redline.
