Hobart Champion Elite 225 Welder/Generator

The Hobart Champion Elite 225 pairs an 11,000-watt gasoline generator with a 225-amp DC stick welder in one enclosed unit, built for job sites that need both welding and auxiliary power on the same trip. A Kohler 23 HP gasoline engine, twin-cylinder and overhead-valve, drives both sides of the machine. What it is for Running other equipment, lights, or grinders while welding is possible through the auxiliary power output, and a quick-set current control simplifies dialing in arc characteristics without a separate fine-tuning step. The fully enclosed case lowers noise and protects internal components on an active job site. What to check before buying Power source: a 225-amp stick welder on DC polarity only, rated for a 100 percent duty cycle at 225 amps. Fuel: a 12-gallon tank is built in for extended run time between fill-ups. Weight: at 490 pounds, this is not a hand-carry unit; plan for a trailer or lift to move it. Does it have circuit protection? Yes, every receptacle uses a push-button reset circuit breaker. Are welding cables included? No, cables are sold separately from the machine. What is the warranty? Hobart's 5/3/1 Industrial Warranty applies: 5 years on transformers, stabilizers, and generators; 3 years on electronics; 1 year on guns. This combination of welding power and standby generator output suits remote sites and emergency-power needs as much as pure fabrication work. welding equipment Specifications Brand Hobart SKU IHOB20200024 MPN HOB500562 Mfgs MPN 500562 UPC 715959604871 Prop65 Yes Process Stick Max Amperage Output 225 Amps Usage Home/Hobby, Light Industrial Phase Single Phase Manufacturer’s Warranty 3 Years Polarity DC Duty Cycle 100% Duty Cycle 100% @ 225A Portability 490 lbs Discontinued Product No
