About this product
Daily-driver manners, not peak output, define the BP350CT, BluePrint's mild-cam cruiser 350 rated at 341 hp and 371 lb-ft of torque. It ships as a bare long block: valve covers, oil pan, and timing cover are installed at the factory, and the intake, carburetor, and distributor are left entirely for you to pick out. Why "cruiser" matters BluePrint tunes this cam for a strong vacuum signal, the kind that keeps power brakes responsive, and the combination is happy on a stock torque converter, stock gearing, and 87 octane fuel rather than anything exotic. Inside the long block A new cast iron block, machined in the USA, carries four-bolt mains and a one-piece rear seal around its bore of 4.000 inches. Stroke is 3.480 inches, and forged 5.700-inch rods carry hypereutectic pistons to 9.2:1 compression beneath the aluminum H8002K heads. The long block ships with its own dyno paperwork, and BluePrint's warranty covers it for 30 months or 50,000 miles. Q: Will this need premium fuel? No, BluePrint built it to run happily on 87 octane. If your swap already has an intake, carburetor, and distributor sitting on a shelf from the last engine, or you would simply rather choose those parts yourself, this mild-mannered 350 is the simplest entry point into BluePrint's whole cruiser lineup of long blocks.
