About this product
This 427 Pro Series combo carries the same 540-horsepower, EFI-fed small block as BluePrint's automatic version, but swaps in a 5-speed TKX manual for direct gear control. Torque is 535 lb-ft at a 10.0:1 compression ratio, and the Sniper 2 EFI calibration and polished accessory drive are shared with the automatic package too. What it is built for Go with this combo if a clutch pedal matters more than an automatic transmission behind BluePrint's higher-output 427. The forged internals, aluminum heads, and EFI tuning carry over from the automatic 427 package, including the 10-to-16-degree initial and 32-to-34-degree total ignition timing. What to check before ordering McLeod's Super Street Pro single-disc clutch anchors this swap. A hydraulic throwout bearing, bellhousing, and billet flywheel come with it, geared with a 1.28:1 third for the midrange pull. At 540 horsepower, make sure your clutch linkage, pedal assembly, and driveline components are rated for the extra torque before committing to this swap. In California, swapping in this engine falls under Bureau of Automotive Repairs engine-change rules rather than direct-replacement rules. Common questions What's the compression ratio? 10.0:1, matched to the rest of BluePrint's 427 lineup. Does it run a carburetor? No, a Holley Sniper 2 EFI system handles fuel delivery. What's the torque figure? 535 lb-ft, the same as BluePrint's automatic 427 combo.
